Il sentiero del Mediterraneo da Monte di Luna a Porto Infreschi

The Infreschi Bay, or Port Infreschi, is an excellent natural harbor from the crystal clear waters located in the Gulf of Policastro extreme south of the Cilento. It owes its name to the nearby ice-cold fresh water veins that flow into the sea. In the past fishermen used the Vaie caves to keep cool their catch.
Here still the nature is untouched and the bay is protected marine area. The white sandy beach is dominated by rocky cliffs and the sea has shades from turquoise to emerald with sandy bottoms and sloping, ideal for snorkeling. It 'reached by a challenging and scenic hiking in the Mediterranean spot among brooms, rosemary, carob trees and prickly pears.
The trekking route from Marina di Camerota to Infreschi Bay offers spectacular views of the coastline of Cilento and Vallo di Diano. This event takes place behind the Monte di Luna and along the Vallone Valamonte and Serra Infreschi where you can see along the way stunning views of Cala Fortuna and Cala Bianca beaches reachable only by boat.
The route can be done in about three hours and do not forget water, sunscreen and hat, plus comfortable shoes.
